Description
If your little one is a wriggler, a sprung mattress gives them a little more bounce-back and a little more comfort. The Kidsaw Deluxe Sprung Toddler Mattress combines a traditional open coil spring unit with a 2 cm inner air foam pad and a soft, quilted cover, in the standard 140 x 70 cm size for cot beds and junior toddler beds.
At 12 cm it is a touch deeper than the foam and fibre options, with springs that support evenly from head to toe. The spring unit is surrounded by combustion modified high resilience (CMHR) foam, which firms up the edges and meets the UK ignition regulations without antimony, phosphorus or arsenic fire retardant chemicals.
The deluxe quilted coroquilt cover is anti dust mite and hypoallergenic, and the whole mattress is breathable, so air can move through it overnight. It is made in the UK.
Key benefits
- Open coil springs: responsive support for an active sleeper.
- 2 cm air foam pad: extra comfort that lets the mattress breathe.
- Quilted cover: deluxe coroquilt, anti dust mite and hypoallergenic.
- CMHR foam surround: stable edges and UK ignition compliance.
- No antimony, phosphorus or arsenic: free from these fire retardant chemicals.
- Made in the UK: 140 x 70 x 12 cm.
Which beds does it fit?
It fits any cot bed or junior toddler bed that takes a standard 140 x 70 cm mattress, including the Kidsaw toddler beds in our range, such as the Fire Engine, Tractor and Teepee toddler beds. The mattress should sit snugly inside the frame with no gaps around the edges; if you can fit more than two fingers between the mattress and the side of the bed, the mattress is too small for that bed.
Safe sleep tips
Young children should sleep on a firm, flat, clean mattress that fits the bed well. Keep the bed clear of pillows and loose bedding for younger toddlers, and buy a new mattress for each child rather than reusing a second-hand one, which may have lost its shape.
Care
The quilted cover is not removable, so sponge any marks with a damp cloth and mild detergent and let it dry fully. Air the mattress and bedding often, and turn and rotate the mattress regularly to spread the wear. We recommend a breathable waterproof protector for the potty-training stage.

Frequently asked questions
What size is this mattress?
It is 140 x 70 cm and 12 cm deep, the standard cot bed and toddler bed size.
Is a sprung mattress better than foam for a toddler?

Can the cover be removed?
No. The quilted cover is fixed. Sponge it clean and use a waterproof protector during potty training.
Will it fit a Kidsaw toddler bed?
Yes. Kidsaw toddler beds take a 140 x 70 cm mattress. Check the fit is snug with no gaps.
Does it contain fire retardant chemicals?
