Description
Sometimes you just need a safe, well-made mattress at a fair price. The Kidsaw Fibre Safety Toddler Mattress is the most affordable mattress in our Kidsaw toddler range, and it is still made in the UK to the same ignition rules as the rest. It measures 140 x 70 cm and is 10 cm deep, the standard size for cot beds and junior toddler beds.
Inside is a high-density fibre pad that gives a firm, flat, even surface, which is what young children need. It meets the UK ignition regulations without antimony, phosphorus or arsenic fire retardant chemicals. The corovin cover is breathable, anti dust mite and hypoallergenic, with fully overlocked seams for strength.
It is a practical choice for a spare toddler bed, a grandparent’s house or a holiday cot bed, or as a first mattress on a budget.
Key benefits
- High-density fibre pad: a firm, flat, even surface.
- Lowest price: the value option in our Kidsaw toddler range.
- Breathable corovin cover: overlocked seams, anti dust mite and hypoallergenic.
- No antimony, phosphorus or arsenic: meets UK ignition rules without these chemicals.
- Lightweight: easy to lift when changing the bedding.
- Made in the UK: 140 x 70 x 10 cm.
Which beds does it fit?
It fits any cot bed or junior toddler bed that takes a standard 140 x 70 cm mattress, including the Kidsaw toddler beds in our range, such as the Fire Engine, Tractor and Teepee toddler beds. The mattress should sit snugly inside the frame with no gaps around the edges; if you can fit more than two fingers between the mattress and the side of the bed, the mattress is too small for that bed.
Safe sleep tips
Young children should sleep on a firm, flat, clean mattress that fits the bed well. Keep the bed clear of pillows and loose bedding for younger toddlers, and buy a new mattress for each child rather than reusing a second-hand one, which may have lost its shape.
Care
The cover is not removable, so sponge any marks with a damp cloth and mild detergent and let it dry completely. Air the mattress and bedding as often as you can, and turn and rotate the mattress regularly. A breathable waterproof protector is worth having during potty training.
