Slat Beds

Slatted bed frames: the short answer
A slatted bed frame holds the mattress on wooden slats instead of a solid base, so air moves under the mattress and the bed sits on legs or a frame like furniture. Our slatted beds start at £262.99 for an upholstered double and include ottoman versions that lift up for storage. Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales, including Anglesey, and Klarna is available.

UK or EU size? Check before you buy a mattress
Most of our slatted beds are UK sizes: double 4ft 6 (135 x 190cm), king 5ft (150 x 200cm) and super king 6ft (180 x 200cm). The Dentro and Stockholm are European sizes (140 x 200cm, 160 x 200cm, 180 x 200cm) and need an EU-size mattress such as our European size mattress. A UK mattress on an EU frame leaves a gap.

Slatted base or divan?
A slatted frame looks lighter, lets the mattress breathe and usually costs less. A divan bed hides drawers in the base. For lift-up storage on a frame, choose an ottoman version above. Browse all bed frames.
