The Mollie Bed in a Box by Kyoto is a quietly confident piece of bedroom design. Its gently curved headboard rises and dips like a wave, creating a soft, sculptural silhouette that’s a refreshing alternative to the squared-off, button-tufted headboards that dominate the upholstered bed market. Fully upholstered in a natural, neutral textured fabric and raised on classic rounded wooden ball feet, the Mollie sits comfortably in modern, Scandi, Japandi, and warm-minimalist interiors alike.
Where many curved-headboard beds rely on heavy panels and dark velvets, the Mollie takes the opposite approach — light, airy, and tactile. The fabric has a subtle linen-like weave that catches the light and reads beautifully against white walls, soft greys, and warm timber flooring.
Designed for real-world living
Mollie is supplied as a bed in a box, meaning the entire frame — base, slats, headboard and feet — arrives flat-packed in a single carton. That makes it far easier to carry through narrow hallways, up stairwells, and into flats than a traditional fully-assembled bed frame. Two people can typically have it built within 30–45 minutes using basic household tools.
The base features sprung wooden slats for ventilated, supportive mattress contact, and is suitable for use with pocket sprung, memory foam, hybrid, and latex mattresses.
