The Elisa Super King Ottoman Bed pairs a tall, deep-buttoned headboard with a full-size storage base. Kyoto upholster it in a soft light-grey woven fabric. The platform rises on gas-assisted lifts to reveal the whole area under a 6ft bed, and it can be built to open from the foot end or from either side.
Why choose the Elisa
A buttoned headboard is the quickest way to make a bedroom feel finished. The Elisa’s covers the full width of the bed and rises to 130cm, so it frames a super king mattress and a full set of pillows without overwhelming the wall. The diamond-tufted panel is set above a neat upholstered base with squared edges and dark block feet. It is a classic shape that works with oak, white or painted bedroom furniture.
The storage is where the Elisa earns its space. A super king base is one of the biggest storage areas in a house. Here it opens in one movement on gas struts, and the slatted platform lifts with the mattress on it. Duvets, spare pillows, out-of-season clothes and suitcases all disappear without a chest of drawers or under-bed boxes.
End lift or side lift: your choice
The Elisa is a multi-lift ottoman. Kyoto’s instructions take you through three common steps and then let you choose: build it as an end-lift, with the platform opening from the foot, or as a side-lift, opening from the left or the right. On our product options this appears as Front Ottoman or Side Ottoman. You receive the same bed either way, so pick the option that matches how your room is laid out. If the foot of the bed faces a wardrobe or sits close to a wall, a side-lift is usually easier to use every day.
Size and mattress fit
The Elisa is a UK super king and takes a standard 180 x 200cm (6ft) mattress. Overall it measures 189cm wide and 218cm long, so allow a little more than the mattress itself when you plan the room. Leave around 60cm clear on the opening side so the platform can lift fully. The mattress is sold separately. Care
Kyoto recommend brushing the fabric with a soft brush and then vacuuming it gently. Keep the bed out of strong direct sunlight and away from radiators and fires, and do not put hot mugs or plates on the upholstery. For spills or stains, use a specialist upholstery cleaner rather than soaking the fabric. Do not let children or pets jump on the bed, and keep buckles, toys and jewellery away from the fabric, because they can snag the weave.
