Description

The Apley Wellbeing Balance Memory 2000 is a hybrid mattress: a deep layer of memory foam over a unit of individual pocket springs. It is the top model in our Wellbeing range, with the most springs and the thickest memory foam of the three, and a medium-firm feel that suits back and side sleepers who want pressure relief without sinking in.

What is inside

The support core is a unit of individual pocket springs, named the 2000 after the count in a king. The exact count scales with the width: 1,080 in a single, 1,480 in a small double, 1,640 in a double, 1,932 in a king and 2,310 in a super king. Each spring sits in its own fabric pocket and moves on its own, so the mattress follows the shape of your body and one sleeper turning over disturbs the other less.

Above the springs is a 65mm layer of memory foam. It softens with body warmth and pressure and eases the load on shoulders and hips, then recovers when you move. Insulator pads either side of the spring unit keep the layers apart and the surface even.

The top cover is Sweet Dreams’ passionflower fabric, micro-quilted to the comfort layer. The mattress is 27cm deep, with a traditional three-tier border for edge support and flag-stitched handles for positioning. It is a non-turn design, so it only needs rotating head to foot, never flipping.

Sizes and prices

UK king or EU king?

These are UK sizes. A UK king is 150 x 200cm (5ft); an EU or IKEA king is 160 x 200cm, 10cm wider. If your bed frame came from a European brand, measure the inside of the frame before ordering. Which bed suits it?

Delivery

Delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. Our delivery partner contacts you directly to agree a day. Measure stairs and landings before ordering, especially for a king or super king, because a pocket sprung mattress should not be folded.

No. Our king is the UK size, 150 x 200cm. An EU king frame is 160 x 200cm.
