The Jay-Be Crown Windermere Folding Bed is Jay-Be’s heavy-duty single, designed for hospitals, nursing homes and other contract settings, and a sensible choice at home when a spare bed may be used by someone who needs a waterproof mattress. Its deep sprung mattress is fully encapsulated in a durable, breathable fabric that resists water, urea and microbial growth, so it can be wiped down and turned around quickly between users.
The frame is heavy-gauge steel with a powder-coated finish that is easy to clean, on heavy-duty 360° castors. The legs fold out automatically as you lower the bed, and it folds back to an upright footprint of about 76 × 53 cm. Jay-Be’s J-Tex™ sprung base sits under the mattress for proper bed-like support, and the frame carries a lifetime guarantee.

Jay-Be gives it a recommended maximum user weight of 190 kg. If you do not need a waterproof cover, the Crown Premier has the same frame with a conventional deep sprung mattress for less.

Cleaning and care
Wipe the mattress cover with a damp cloth and a mild detergent or a non-abrasive disinfectant suitable for coated fabrics, then let it dry before folding the bed away. Check the cover regularly for cuts or tears, as a damaged cover is no longer waterproof. The powder-coated frame can be wiped down in the same way.
Delivery
Free delivery to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey, by courier to your door. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. The bed is heavy at 36.5 kg packed, so have two people ready to move it on arrival.

Is the mattress fully waterproof?
Yes. The deep sprung mattress is encapsulated in a water- and urea-resistant fabric, which makes it suitable for incontinence and care use and easy to wipe clean.
