The Jay-Be Quick Folding Bed is built for the household that has guests often enough to want a proper bed, but not often enough to give up a whole room to one. It rolls out of a cupboard on its castors, opens in one movement into an 80 cm wide single with the mattress already in place, and folds back to a slim upright block 26 cm deep when your visitors go home. No airbed to inflate overnight, no mattress to drag down from the loft.
At 80 cm wide it gives a sleeper noticeably more room than a 70 cm compact folding bed, and the 194 cm frame suits most adults. Choose the mattress that suits the people who will sleep on it: the Comfort Stripe e-Fibre™ (QE80), the pressure-relieving Memory e-Fibre™ (QM80) or the Pocket Sprung (QP80).
Three mattresses, one frame
Comfort Stripe (QE80) is the value choice. Its breathable e-Fibre™ core lets heat and moisture escape rather than trapping it, inside a soft-touch woven striped cover. It suits occasional guests, teenagers and children’s sleepovers.
Memory (QM80) adds a Memory e-Fibre™ comfort layer above an e-Fibre™ support layer, finished in a soft knitted cover. It moulds gently to the body and eases pressure on hips and shoulders, so it is the one to pick for parents and grandparents who stay for a few nights at a time.
Pocket Sprung (QP80) is the most bed-like of the three. A core of individually pocketed micro springs sits between breathable e-Fibre™ comfort layers, with a hand-tufted top and a quilted border for durability. If the Quick will be used regularly, as a second bed in a home office or for a student who comes home every holiday, this is the mattress to choose.
All three mattresses measure approximately 190 × 73 cm and 10 cm deep. Their fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, the materials are hypoallergenic and the fire-retardant treatment is natural and salt-based.
Sturdy enough for an adult
The frame is zinc-coated steel for strength and rust protection, and it is rated for a sleeper of up to 160 kg. A durable Mono-Tex™ woven platform supports the mattress, and J-Grip™ anti-tip legs keep the bed planted when someone sits on the edge to put their shoes on. An FSC-certified wooden headboard stops pillows sliding off the end. The Quick exceeds the British and European safety standard for folding beds, BS EN 1725.
Rolls away on castors
Four 360° castors let you wheel the folded bed from room to room without lifting it, and the foot-locking castors hold it still while it is stored. Folded, it stands about 96 cm high, 80 cm wide and 26 cm deep, small enough for a deep cupboard, the corner of a study or the space beside a wardrobe. It is the step up from Jay-Be’s slimmer Mobile and Compact models, and a little lower and lighter than the RE80 Rollaway.

Delivery
Free delivery to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. The Quick is a stock item, normally dispatched within 24–48 hours and delivered by courier to your door. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly.
Frequently asked questions
Which mattress should I choose?
Comfort Stripe for occasional guests and children, Memory for older guests or anyone who wakes up stiff on a firm surface, and Pocket Sprung if the bed will be slept on often. The frame is identical, so the only difference is how the mattress feels.
Can an adult sleep on the Quick every night?
The frame is rated to 160 kg and is 194 cm long, so it suits most adults. For regular use we recommend the Pocket Sprung version, which has the deepest support of the three.
How much space does it need when folded?
About 80 cm wide, 96 cm high and 26 cm deep. The castors mean you can wheel it into a cupboard or alcove rather than carrying it.
How is it different from the Rollaway?
The Quick and the Rollaway are both 80 cm singles. The Quick sits at 32 cm to the top of the mattress and folds to 26 cm deep. The Rollaway sits higher, at 40 cm, which some older guests find easier to get in and out of.
Is the mattress included and can I buy a protector?
Yes, the mattress you choose comes fitted to the frame. You can add a waterproof mattress protector, a storage cover or both using the options above.
