Description
Casey Lamp Table
The Casey Lamp Table is a sculptural side table in solid mango wood, built around cut-out legs that read almost as an arch rather than four separate supports. The top is a soft square with rounded corners. It is the kind of piece that works as an object as much as a surface — it still holds a lamp and a mug, but it does not look like it is only there to do a job.
It comes in two finishes. Almond is the natural pale mango wood, warm and open-grained, and suits rooms with a lot of daylight. Black is a deep painted finish that lets the shape of the legs do the work, and is the better choice against a pale sofa or a light wall where you want a full stop rather than a blend.
Where it works
Beside a sofa or armchair, at the end of a bed, or on its own in a hallway with something on top of it. Because the legs are cut from a single form rather than sitting at the corners, it does not catch feet the way a conventional four-legged table does — useful in a narrow room or a route people walk at night.

Questions people ask
Is the wood solid? Yes, solid mango wood rather than a veneer.
Is the black finish painted or stained? It is a deep opaque finish, so the grain reads as texture rather than as visible figure.
Will the two finishes match each other if I buy one of each? They are the same form in two different treatments, so the shapes match exactly. The colours are deliberately different.
Does it need assembly? The leg form fixes to the underside of the top.
How do I clean it? A dry or barely damp cloth. Use a mat under anything wet — mango wood marks if liquid is left standing.
