Kudl Multi Drawer Cabin Bed with Bookcase Headboard – Single 3ft, Oak

Description

The Kudl Multi Drawer Cabin Bed with Bookcase Headboard brings a warm oak-effect finish to a child’s room and packs a full bedroom’s worth of storage into the footprint of a single bed. Four deep drawers, a central cupboard and a four-cubby bookcase headboard mean clothes, toys, books and the bedtime clutter all have a home, so the floor stays clear and tidying up becomes a quick job rather than a battle.

It sits at a sensible cabin height of 51 cm to the frame, so it is easy for younger children to climb in and out of, while still leaving generous room underneath for storage. If you are planning a bedroom refresh as a Christmas present, this is a bed that replaces a chest of drawers, a bookcase and a bedside table in one piece of furniture.

Storage that works hard

• Four drawers, each about 19.2 cm high, 62.5 cm wide and 48 cm deep: ideal for folded clothes, school uniform, bedding or Lego.
• Central cupboard with doors for the bulkier items you would rather keep out of sight.
• Bookcase headboard with four open cubbies for bedtime stories, a night light, an alarm clock or favourite figures, all within arm’s reach.

Why parents choose the oak finish

White and grey suit most rooms, but the oak-effect finish gives a softer, more natural look that grows with your child. It sits comfortably alongside white, sage, navy or neutral walls, and it will not look babyish when a seven-year-old becomes a teenager. The clean, flat-fronted design keeps the look modern and makes wiping down easy.

Mattress

The bed takes a standard UK single mattress, 90 x 190 cm, which is sold separately. A medium-depth foam or pocket sprung children’s mattress works well at cabin height and keeps the sleeping surface at a comfortable level relative to the headboard shelves.

Assembly and care

Every Kudl cabin bed arrives flat packed with numbered parts, fittings and step-by-step instructions. We recommend two adults for assembly and suggest building the bed in the room where it will stay, because the finished frame is long and heavy to move through doorways. Check and tighten the fittings every few months, as you would with any child’s bed. To clean, wipe the oak-effect surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them straight away; avoid abrasive pads, bleach and solvent cleaners, which can dull the finish. Keep the bed a short distance from radiators so the panels are not exposed to direct heat. Pair it with a breathable children’s mattress and a washable mattress protector for a hygienic, comfortable sleep surface.

Delivery

Delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. We are unable to deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. The bed arrives flat packed in several boxes, and we will be in touch to confirm your delivery window before it leaves the warehouse. With Christmas approaching, ordering early gives you time to assemble the bed before the big day.

Frequently asked questions

Is a mattress included?

No. The bed takes a standard UK single mattress measuring 90 x 190 cm, which you can buy separately.

How high is the bed?

The sleeping frame is 51 cm high and the bookcase headboard brings the overall height to 100 cm, so it suits younger children who are moving up from a toddler bed.

How much room do I need?

Allow 96 cm in width and 214 cm in length including the headboard, plus space in front of the bed to open the drawers fully (about 50 cm).

Does it come assembled?

No, it arrives flat packed with fittings and instructions. Two adults make assembly easier.

Is the bookcase headboard available on its own?

The headboard is included with this model. If you already own a Kudl cabin bed without a headboard, ask us about the matching bookcase attachment.
