Kudl Multi Drawer Cabin Bed – Single 3ft, Pink

Description

The Kudl Multi Drawer Cabin Bed in pink is a cheerful single bed with a full chest of drawers hidden underneath. Four wide drawers run along the front and a central cupboard sits between them, so everything from school jumpers to dolls, craft kits and spare bedding can be put away in one place. For a bedroom where floor space is precious, it does the job of two pieces of furniture.

The soft pink finish gives the room a playful focal point without the need for themed wallpaper, and it pairs easily with white, grey or pastel furniture. At 51 cm to the top of the frame it is a low cabin height, so children can get in and out on their own, while the deep base still gives a lot of storage volume.

What fits inside

• Four drawers, each roughly 19.2 cm high, 62.5 cm wide and 48 cm deep: room for a season of clothes or a whole collection of soft toys.
• A central cupboard with doors, useful for board games, a sleeping bag for sleepovers or a spare duvet.
• Everything at child height, which makes tidying up something they can do themselves.

A colour they will love waking up to

Pink remains one of the most requested colours for children’s beds, and this shade is soft enough to sit comfortably in a room that changes as a child grows. Swap the bedding, cushions and wall prints over the years and the bed keeps working. If you would prefer a more neutral base, the same bed is sold in oak effect, white, grey and black.

The Christmas bedroom makeover

A new bed is one of the few presents that gets used every single day. Choosing a storage bed also solves the January problem of where all the new toys are going to live. Order in good time so the bed can be delivered and built before the holidays.

Mattress

The frame takes a standard UK single mattress, 90 x 190 cm, sold separately. A medium-depth foam or pocket sprung children’s mattress is a good match for this cabin height.

Specification

Assembly and care

The bed comes flat packed with labelled panels, all fittings and an illustrated instruction booklet. Two adults will find assembly quicker and safer, and it is worth building the frame in the bedroom it will live in, because the finished bed is long and awkward to carry up a staircase. Re-check the bolts every few months, as you would with any child’s furniture. The painted and oak-effect surfaces only need a wipe with a soft cloth wrung out in warm water, then a dry cloth; skip bleach, polish sprays and scouring pads, which can mark the finish. Keep the bed clear of radiators and direct heat, and use a breathable mattress with a washable protector so the sleeping surface stays fresh.

Delivery

Delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. We are unable to deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. The bed is delivered flat packed in several cartons, and we will contact you to confirm a delivery window before it is dispatched. If the bed is a Christmas present, ordering in November leaves plenty of time to unbox it and build it before the school holidays begin.

Frequently asked questions

Is a mattress included?

No. The bed takes a standard UK single mattress measuring 90 x 190 cm, available separately.

What age suits this bed?

The 51 cm height suits children who have outgrown a toddler or cot bed, usually from around three or four years old, and it stays practical into the early teens.

How much space do I need in front of the drawers?

Leave about 50 cm clear in front of the bed so each drawer can open fully.

Is the pink a bright or soft shade?

It is a soft, warm pink rather than a neon shade, so it works with white and pastel furniture.

Does it arrive assembled?

No. It is delivered flat packed with fittings and step-by-step instructions.
