The Kudl Low Cabin Bed with Bookcase Headboard is a cabin bed with bookcase headboard — the storage bed and its headboard sold as one unit rather than two. For a single room where every wall is already spoken for, it puts the bedside storage inside the bed’s own footprint instead of asking for another piece of furniture.

What the bookcase headboard adds

The headboard carries four open cubby holes at pillow height — the right place for a book, a lamp, a water glass and the things that otherwise end up on the floor. It raises the overall height to 100 cm and adds 18 cm to the length, so the bed occupies a little more of the room than the plain version but replaces a bedside table entirely.

Storage in the bed frame itself

Below the sleeping platform the frame carries three compartments: two open niches at either end and a central cupboard behind two doors. The niches stop roughly half way along where the support rails cross, and they are open to the floor with no base panel, so whatever flooring the bed stands on shows through.

• Headboard: four open cubby compartments

Note the 214 cm depth: this is longer than a standard single bed because the headboard sits behind the frame rather than above it. Measure the wall before ordering.
