Description
An Art Deco armchair that opens into a single guest bed
The Jay-Be Deco Snuggler Sofa Bed is a generous, single-seat “snuggler” chair with the rounded arms and clean lines of the Art Deco era, hiding a fold-out bed with a proper deep sprung mattress. It is 129 cm wide, so it fits a bedroom corner, a study or a small living room where a full sofa bed would not, and it opens into a bed 195 cm long for a guest who stays over.
Jay-Be’s premium fold-out mechanism opens without you having to take off the seat or back cushions, so it really is a bed in seconds. The mattress is a deep e-Sprung™ core topped with wool, breathable and supportive enough for regular use rather than a thin pad. Each Deco Snuggler is handmade to order in the UK in your choice of 26 fabrics, with a lifetime frame guarantee and a 5-year mattress guarantee.
Made to order in your fabric
Choose from three fabric families. Luxe Velvet is an opulent, soft-pile velvet; Cosy Chenille is a plush, textured weave with a soft handle; Brushed Twill is a flat weave with a natural, wool-like look. All are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and treated with GreenFR®, a non-toxic flame-resistant finish. In Brushed Twill the Deco Snuggler also meets the BS 7177 Contract (medium hazard) standard, so it can be used in holiday lets and guest accommodation. Because it is upholstered after you order, please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery.
What is inside
- Deep e-Sprung™ core mattress: 195 × 76 cm and 13 cm deep, with wool comfort layers either side of the spring core, breathable e-Fibre™ support layers and a viscose-enriched cover. 100% recyclable at the end of its life.
- Premium fold-out mechanism: opens and closes with the seat and back cushions left in place.
- Fibre-wrapped seat cushions: for a soft, cosy sit.
- FSC® certified wood frame: sustainably sourced and covered by Jay-Be’s lifetime frame guarantee.
- Natural salt-based fire retardant on the mattress, rather than an added chemical treatment.
Who the Deco Snuggler suits
It suits anyone who wants a statement chair that earns its keep: a spare room that doubles as a home office, a living room with space for a chair but not a second sofa, or a teenager’s room that needs a bed for sleepovers. The bed is 76 cm wide, a narrow single, so it is best for one adult or a child. If you need a bed for two, the Deco 2 or 3 Seater opens into a larger bed in the same style.
How it compares with other Jay-Be sofa beds we sell
- Deco Snuggler vs Deco 2 Seater and Deco 3 Seater: same design, fabrics and mattress construction; the larger models seat two or three and open into a bed for two.
- Deco Snuggler vs Slim Snuggler: the Slim has narrow, square arms for the tightest spaces and costs a little less; the Deco has the fuller, rounded arms.
- Deco Snuggler vs Linea Snuggler and Elegance Snuggler: other Jay-Be snuggler designs with the same deep e-Sprung™ mattress, in a different arm and back shape.
- Deco Snuggler vs Footstool Sofa Bed: the footstool hides a fold-out bed in an ottoman for the smallest rooms, at a much lower price, but is not a chair.

Frequently asked questions
How big is the bed when it is open?
The mattress is 195 cm long and 76 cm wide, and the open bed takes up about 215 × 129 cm of floor. Allow space in front of the chair before you buy.
Can two people sleep on it?
At 76 cm wide it is a single bed for one person. For two, look at the Deco 2 Seater or 3 Seater.
Do I need to remove the cushions to open the bed?
No. Jay-Be’s premium mechanism keeps the seat and back cushions in place, so you can open it in seconds.
Will it fit through my door?
It comes in three packs, the largest 103 × 91 × 55 cm, and the arms and back are fitted on arrival, so it goes through standard doorways and up stairs far more easily than a one-piece chair.
Why does it take 4–6 weeks?
Each Deco Snuggler is upholstered by hand in the UK in the fabric you choose after you order, so it is not held in stock.
