The Morgan Quilted 2 Seater Sofa Bed is the compact partner to our Morgan Quilted Corner Sofa Bed: the same deep, square-quilted look, sized for a living room, snug or home office that can’t take a corner suite. Closed, it is a full two-seater 179.5cm wide. Open, it gives a 135 x 185cm sleeping area, the width of a UK double, for overnight guests.

It comes in one colour, Thetis Taupe Chenille: a soft grey-beige with a fine, velvety pile. Taupe works with warm whites, oak floors and natural textures, and hides everyday marks better than pale cream. The quilting runs across the back, seat, front rail and the rounded arms, so the sofa looks soft and generous from every angle, including the side and back if it stands away from a wall.

How the bed works

The Morgan uses a pull-out action rather than a click-clack back. Pull the strap at the front of the seat and the bed section rolls forward and lifts level with the seat, giving one flat sleeping surface between the two arms. You don’t need to remove the back cushions or move the sofa away from the wall first, which makes it quick to set up at the end of an evening. Push it back in the morning and it is a sofa again.

Because the bed comes out of the front, allow roughly a metre of clear floor in front of the sofa when it is open. Plan where the coffee table goes on the nights it is used as a bed.

Will it fit?

Closed, the Morgan measures 179.5cm wide, 91.5cm deep and 89cm high. That suits most living rooms and a lot of spare rooms where a full double bed would take over. Measure your doorways, hallway and any turns on the stairs as well as the room itself. At 78kg it is a two-person lift.

The sleeping area is 135cm wide, the same as a UK double, and 185cm long, which is 5cm shorter than a standard double bed. That is comfortable for most guests. Very tall visitors may find the length tighter than their own bed.

Choosing between the Morgan 2 Seater and the corner

If you have the space, the Morgan corner sofa bed seats more people and opens to a larger 156 x 190cm bed with storage under the seat. The 2 seater is the better buy for smaller rooms, flats, and spare rooms that mostly work as a study or snug. You can also put the two in different rooms and keep the same look through the house.

Availability and ordering

This is a new Kyoto launch, available on backorder. Kyoto expect the first stock on 7 December 2026. If you order now, you reserve one from that first delivery, and we dispatch as soon as it reaches us. If Kyoto change the date, we will tell you, and you can cancel for a full refund at any time before it ships. We can’t promise delivery before Christmas, because that depends on Kyoto’s delivery arriving on time.

Delivery

Free delivery to mainland England and Wales, including Anglesey. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. Please have a second person available to help carry it in.

Care

Vacuum the chenille regularly with a soft brush attachment, paying attention to the quilting seams where dust collects. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, which can flatten the pile. Plump the seat and arms now and then to keep the quilted panels even, and open the bed regularly so the mechanism keeps moving freely.
