The Fletcher 2 seater recliner sofa is made for the way most living rooms are really used: one person stretched out with their feet up, the other sitting upright with a cup of tea, and both comfortable at the same time. Each seat reclines on its own, so nobody has to agree on a position before the film starts. When you are both upright, it is a neat, well-padded two-seater that sits happily against a wall or under a window.

It is one of the newest sofas from Kyoto, the British furniture supplier voted Best Sofa Bed Supplier in the Furniture News Readers’ Choice awards 2026, and it is in stock with Kyoto now.

Design and comfort

Fletcher has a tall, cushioned back with a gentle wing at each side, so your head and shoulders are supported whether you are sitting up or leaning back. The back is split into two deep, padded panels, one for each seat, and the seat cushions are generously filled to give a supportive sit rather than a soft sink. Rounded padded arms frame the seats and give you somewhere to rest an elbow.

The seat sits 48cm from the floor, which is a comfortable height for getting in and out without dropping low, and the 51cm seat depth suits most adults sitting upright with their back against the cushion. Arms are 64cm high.

How the recline works

Each seat has its own control on the outer arm, as pictured. Use it to tilt the back and raise the padded footrest from under the seat, stopping at whichever position you want. The two seats work independently, so one can be fully reclined while the other stays upright. Because the mechanism is powered, it needs a mains socket within reach of the sofa. Leave clear floor in front of the seats for the footrests and a little space behind for the back to tilt.

Two fabrics

• Ambros Taupe Textured Chenille: a warm, light stone neutral with a soft, nubbly chenille texture. It brightens a smaller room and sits well with oak floors, cream walls and natural fibres.
• Zeus Grey Textured Weave: a mid-grey with a fine woven texture that hides everyday wear well. A practical choice for a busy family room and easy to pair with grey, navy or white schemes.

Delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. The Fletcher arrives in a single box weighing 67kg, so it is worth having two people at home to carry it in. Before ordering, measure doorways, hallways and any turns on the stairs to make sure there is a clear route into the room, and contact us if you would like the overall width confirmed.

Do both seats recline?

Yes. Each seat has its own control and footrest, so one person can recline fully while the other stays upright.

Does the Fletcher need to be plugged in?

Yes. The recline is powered, so place the sofa within reach of a mains socket. Kyoto have not published the cable length, so if your socket is some distance away, contact us before ordering.

How much space do I need?

Upright, the Fletcher is 109.5cm high and 90.5cm deep. Allow extra floor in front for the footrests and a little room behind for the back to tilt. We are confirming the overall width with Kyoto, so please ask us if your space is tight.

Which fabric is more practical for a family home?

Zeus Grey Textured Weave is the more forgiving choice for heavy daily use because its mid-grey woven texture disguises marks. Ambros Taupe Textured Chenille is softer to the touch and lighter in colour.
