Primo Electric 2 Seater Recliner Sofa
The Primo chair scaled to two seats. Contemporary proportions rather than traditional ones — 174 centimetres wide and only 89 tall, so it reads as a modern sofa rather than as a pair of recliners joined together, which is the usual compromise with reclining furniture.
Backs and headrests adjust independently, controlled from buttons on the inner arms. Two people of different heights can each set their own neck support, which on a low-backed sofa is the difference between comfortable and not.
Finished in Mole woven chenille — a warm mid grey-brown that works against both cool and warm schemes.
Measure before you order
At 174cm wide and 108cm deep this is a substantial piece, and the depth is the number people forget. Three checks:
Your narrowest doorway, measured diagonally as well as straight across. Clearance behind — 30 to 40cm to recline, as it is not a wall-hugger. Clearance in front — two footrests extended project well beyond the frame, and they must clear a coffee table.
Because the back is low, this is a sofa to recline into rather than to sit upright in with your head supported.
Woven chenille, and how to keep it
Chenille is a pile fabric — short tufts held in a woven base. It is soft to the touch and forgiving of light marks, and the pile flattens where it is used most. Vacuum weekly with a soft upholstery head, brush the pile back one way if it looks patchy, and blot spills rather than rubbing.
