It suits a home office, a box room, a student flat or a holiday let — anywhere that needs a bed occasionally and a seat every day, without the budget of a main living room suite.

Before you order

Measure the access route first: the front door, the narrowest point of the hallway, and the stairs and their turn if it is going up. Measure doorways diagonally as well as straight across.

Then measure the floor with the bed open rather than the sofa closed, and leave space to get round at least one side. If this is going into a rental or a holiday let, think about how easily one person can open and close it alone, because that is who will usually be doing it.
