Toby push back recliner chair in short
The Toby is a fabric push back recliner: lean back and the chair reclines, with no lever or motor to wear out. It is the roomier of our two push back models at 87cm wide, with a cushioned headrest and back support, upholstered in a soft woven fabric. It is supplied by Kyoto.

Toby or Stanley?
Both recline the same way. The Stanley is 16cm narrower (71cm) in brown upholstery, so it is the one for a tight corner. The Toby is wider and softer, with a cushioned headrest, so it is the one for long evenings in front of the television. If pushing back is hard for you, look at a powered chair such as the Primo electric recliner chair instead.
Before you order: three measurements
- The doorway. The chair is 87cm wide and 93cm deep. Measure the narrowest door and any turn on the way in.
- Space behind. Leave a gap between the chair back and the wall for the recline. Allow 30cm or more as a starting point.
- Space in front. Keep the floor in front clear of a coffee table or footstool.
