Remy Coffee Table

Description

Remy coffee table: a true 80cm square in solid mango wood

A square coffee table solves a problem a rectangular one cannot. If your seating faces inward from two or three sides, such as an L-shaped corner sofa or a sofa with chairs opposite, a rectangle always favours one side. A square is equally easy to reach from all of them. At 80 by 80 centimetres the Remy is a genuine square, made from solid mango wood with a warm natural finish and bold, angular lines.

It is part of Kyoto’s newest accent furniture range, designed alongside the matching Remy lamp table, so you can build a coordinated living room without hunting for pieces that almost match.

Design and materials

The Remy is made from solid mango wood, a dense hardwood with a lively grain that ranges from honey to deeper amber tones. The clean, angular shape keeps the look contemporary, while the natural grain stops a square top from reading as a plain slab. Every table is slightly different in colour and figure, which is part of the appeal of real timber.

Getting the size right

Square tables suit rooms where seating wraps a corner. Beside a single straight three-seater an 80cm square can look small, and a longer rectangle is usually the better choice there. Leave 40 to 45cm between the front edge of the sofa and the table so legs have room and drinks are still within reach. At 40cm high it sits low, which works well with deeper sofas, corner sofa beds and a relaxed room.

Specification

Caring for solid mango wood

Use coasters under hot drinks and wipe up spills promptly with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry the surface. Avoid harsh cleaning sprays and keep the table out of strong direct sunlight and away from radiators, which can dry and fade any solid timber over time.

Delivery

Delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. The Remy weighs 24kg, so it is manageable for one person to move on carpet and easier with two.

Remy coffee table FAQs

Is a square coffee table right for my room?

If your seating wraps a corner or faces in from more than one side, yes. With one straight sofa, a rectangle usually looks better balanced.

Is the Remy solid wood or veneer?

It is solid mango wood.

Will it look exactly like the photographs?

Very closely, but not exactly. Mango wood varies naturally in tone and grain, so every table is unique.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 24kg. One person can slide it on carpet; two people should lift and carry it.

Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly.
