Description
A small double folding bed for couples and longer stays
The Jay-Be Supreme Small Double Folding Bed with Micro e-Pocket™ Mattress gives visiting couples, or one guest who likes room to stretch out, a proper bed that disappears when they leave. It is 122 cm wide, wider than most folding beds, and carries a pocket-sprung mattress with around 600 individual springs on Jay-Be’s J-Tex™ sprung base. When it is not needed, it folds upright on four 360° castors and stands against a wall or in a cupboard.
It is a good answer for a home office or hobby room that has to become a guest room at Christmas, for parents or in-laws who stay for a week, and for flats where a permanent spare double bed would take up too much space.
How it works
Release the strap and lower the bed: the legs fold out automatically as it opens, with no catches to set. A full-width, oak-effect headboard made from FSC®-certified wood keeps pillows on the bed and the raised foot end keeps the mattress in place. To store it, lift the foot end, the legs fold away and the bed stands on its castors with the mattress still in place. Because of its size, two people make folding and moving it easier.
The mattress
- Micro e-Pocket™ spring unit: around 600 small pocket springs that respond individually, so one sleeper turning over disturbs the other less than on an open-coil mattress.
- Rebound e-Fibre™ comfort layers: breathable, 100% foam-free filling made from recycled plastic bottles, hypoallergenic and free from harmful chemicals and VOCs.
- Hand-tufted, quilted top: keeps the fillings evenly spread after the bed has been folded many times.
- J-Tex™ sprung base: a sprung platform beneath the mattress that adds give and spreads weight across the frame.
Size and space
Open, the bed measures 122 cm wide by 197 cm long, with the top of the mattress about 38.5 cm from the floor. That is a UK small double width (4 ft), with a little extra length, so two adults can share it for short stays and one adult has plenty of room. Allow about 2 m by 1.25 m of floor space when it is open. For a single guest in a smaller room, the Supreme Single takes up less space.

Frequently asked questions
Will two adults fit on it?
Yes, for guest stays. At 122 cm wide it is the same width as a UK small double bed. For couples who are used to a king-size bed it will feel snug, but it is far roomier than a single folding bed.
Will it fit through my doorways when folded?
Folded, it stands upright on its castors. Measure your narrowest doorway and staircase turn against the bed’s 122 cm width and allow for the depth of the folded mattress.
Can it be used every night?
Jay-Be designs the Supreme for regular use, and the pocket-sprung mattress makes it comfortable for weeks at a time. For a permanent main bed, a full-size bed and mattress will last longer.
Does it need assembling?
No. It is delivered ready to use with the mattress attached.
Is a storage cover available?
Jay-Be makes a fitted storage cover for the Supreme small double that keeps dust off while it is folded away.
