JayBe Revolution Single Folding Bed & e-Pocket Sprung Mattress

Description

A guest bed that sleeps like a real bed

The Jay-Be Revolution Folding Bed with Micro e-Pocket® Mattress is a single folding bed for homes that need a proper spare bed but have nowhere to keep one. It opens to a full 200 cm sleeping length, which is longer than a standard UK single, so taller guests are not left with their feet off the end. Folded, it stands upright on four 360° castors and rolls into a cupboard, under the stairs or behind a door.

The mattress is what sets it apart from a basic fold-away. Inside are around 400 micro pocket springs, each in its own fabric pocket, so the surface responds to shoulders and hips separately rather than sagging in the middle. Above the springs sits Jay-Be’s breathable Rebound e-Fibre™ comfort layer, finished with traditional hand tufting that holds the fillings in place. There is no foam in the mattress. The mattress lies on Jay-Be’s J-Tex™ sprung base, a woven deck held under tension by steel springs, which adds give and stops the hard “camp bed” feel.

Revolution, Supreme or Grand?

The Revolution is Jay-Be’s slimmest premium single: 77 cm wide and 32 cm to the top of the mattress, so it suits a study, box room or home office where space is tight. If you want a higher bed that is easier to get in and out of, look at the Supreme automatic folding bed (40.5 cm high). If two people need to sleep on it, choose a small double such as the GP120 Grand Small Double.

Frequently asked questions

Is it comfortable enough for more than one night?

Yes. The pocket spring mattress and sprung base are designed for regular use, not just emergencies, which is why it suits a spare room that is used most weekends or a family member who stays for a week at a time.

How long is it, and will a tall guest fit?

The sleeping length is 200 cm, 10 cm longer than a standard UK single, so it suits most adults.

How do I store it?

Fold the bed in half with the mattress inside, fasten it, and wheel it on its castors to a cupboard or alcove. It stands upright, so it uses very little floor space.

Does it need assembling?

No. It is delivered fully assembled; unfold it, lower the legs and it is ready.

Is it suitable for guests with allergies?

Jay-Be describes the materials as hypoallergenic, and the mattress contains no foam. As with any bed, a washable mattress protector and bedding washed at 60°C help keep allergens down.
