Blaire 2 seater Sofa Bed

Description

Blaire compact 2 seater sofa bed at a glance

The Blaire is a compact 2 seater pop-up sofa bed for rooms where every centimetre counts. By day it is a neat, deep-seated sofa just 156cm wide; when guests arrive, the click-clack back drops flat and the seat pops up to give a sleeping area of 114.5 x 188.5cm. Choose soft Athena velvet in Olive or Burnt Orange, or a textured Titan Grey Boucle. Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales, and you can spread the cost with Klarna.

Design and comfort

The Blaire is built for sitting first. A deep, foam-padded seat gives a supportive, even sit with no bars or springs to feel through the cushion. Neat piped stitching outlines the seat and back, adding a tailored detail that lifts the velvet versions in particular.

Because the Blaire converts with a click-clack back rather than a fold-out metal mechanism, there is nothing to unpack from inside the seat and no thin mattress to make up. The sleeping surface is the same padded upholstery you sit on, which makes it quick to set up for an unexpected overnight guest and just as quick to turn back into a sofa in the morning.

Choose your fabric

• Athena Olive Velvet: a deep, muted green with a soft sheen. It brings a touch of richness to neutral rooms and pairs well with natural wood, brass and cream.
• Athena Burnt Orange Velvet: a warm rust-orange statement colour that suits mid-century, retro and boho schemes and looks striking against navy, teal or white walls.
• Titan Grey Boucle: a nubbly, looped boucle weave in a soft mid grey. It is the most understated choice and has a tactile, textured feel that is very forgiving of everyday wear.

To care for either fabric, vacuum with a soft upholstery brush, keep the sofa out of strong direct sunlight to avoid fading, and blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth. Velvet pile can be brushed lightly in one direction to restore its sheen.

Where it works

• Small living rooms and flats: a proper two-seater sofa that doubles as the spare bed.
• Home office or box room: seating for the workday, a bed for visiting family at the weekend.
• Teenager’s room or den: a place to hang out with friends that turns into a sleepover bed.

Blaire sofa bed: your questions answered

Is the Blaire a small double sofa bed?

It is close. The sleeping area is 114.5 x 188.5cm, a little narrower than a standard small double mattress (120 x 190cm). It suits one adult comfortably, or two people who don’t mind a cosy fit for the odd night.

Will it fit in a small room?

The sofa is 156cm wide and 89.5cm deep. When it’s open you need about 189cm of floor length from the wall, plus room to walk past. Measure doorways and stairs before you order too.

Is it suitable for every night?

No. The Blaire is designed for occasional guests. If someone will sleep on it every night, look at a sofa bed with a deep sprung mattress in our sofa beds range.

Which colours can I choose?

Athena velvet in Olive or Burnt Orange, or Titan Grey Boucle, all with piped stitching.

Where do you deliver, and does it cost extra?

Delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey, and usually takes 7–10 working days. We don’t deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly.
