Built low, built deep, built for films
Most sofas are a compromise between sitting upright and lying down, and end up doing neither well. The Miami commits. The seat sits at 38cm — roughly 8cm lower than a conventional sofa — and runs from 60cm to 82cm deep across the curve. That combination puts you reclined rather than upright, which is exactly what you want for a two-hour film and exactly what a formal drawing-room sofa is bad at.
A curve, not a corner
At 336cm the Miami is corner-sofa scale, but it is a continuous serpentine curve rather than a right angle. Two 168cm seat runs bend towards each other, so people at either end are turned slightly inwards. It also means the piece does not need two walls to work — it can float in the middle of an open-plan room and define the sitting area on its own.
Boucle in three finishes
Boucle is a looped yarn, dense and textured, and on a curved frame it earns its keep: the loops catch light differently around the bend, which keeps three and a half metres of sofa from reading as one flat plane. Blush is warm and soft; silver grey is the safe neutral; black is the one that makes the sofa the whole room.

Living with bouclé
The looped yarn that gives bouclé its texture is also its weakness: it hides marks and creasing better than almost any other upholstery, and it snags on claws and sharp zips. If a loop pulls, ease it back with a blunt needle rather than cutting it. Vacuum with a soft brush head, never a beater bar.
What a cinema sofa is for
A curved cinema sofa does something a straight sofa cannot: it angles everyone towards the same point. In a room built around a television that is the whole argument, because the people on the ends are not craning. In a room built around conversation the curve does the same job in reverse — people can see each other without turning.
It needs space behind it. A curved back cannot sit flat to a wall, so plan for a gap and treat it as a piece that floats in the room rather than lines it.
Delivery
Delivered free to mainland England and Wales. We do not currently deliver to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland or the offshore islands. Large upholstery is delivered in sections wherever the design allows, which makes a narrow hallway or a turn on the stairs far less of a problem.
Questions people ask
Can it go against a wall? Not flush. The curve leaves a gap at the ends, which usually looks deliberate rather than wrong.
How many does it seat? Check the listing for the exact figure — curved seating is measured along the curve, not across the room.
Does it come apart for delivery? Yes, in sections.
Is the curve fixed? Yes. The sections lock into the same arc every time.
Does it work in a small room? Rarely. A curve eats floor area that a straight sofa does not.
