Scatter backs and chrome studs
The Lincoln pairs loose scatter back cushions with a row of large chrome studs along the arm and base. The studs are the detail people notice first — a deliberately traditional flourish on an otherwise square, modern frame. Whether that reads as glamorous or fussy depends on the room, which is why we would say: look at the photographs properly before ordering.
Loose backs, not fixed
Scatter backs let you set your own support rather than living with the shape the factory chose. They need plumping to look their best, which is the trade-off against a fixed back. If nobody in your house is going to plump cushions, the Hudson is the better buy.
Double sprung seat
A double sprung unit under the seat cushions rather than webbing alone. It costs more to build and it is the difference between a sofa that still sits level in year five and one with a dip where everybody sits.

Free delivery to England and Wales mainland. We do not currently deliver to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland or the offshore islands.
Measure before you order
A three and two piece set is easier to place than a corner group, but it still needs planning. Measure the wall the three seater will sit against, then decide where the two seater goes — facing it, or at right angles. Facing works in a long room; at right angles works better in a square one and keeps the television sightline clear for both.
Check your narrowest doorway, and measure it diagonally as well as straight across.
Fabric and care
Vacuum weekly with an upholstery head. Rotate the seat cushions so the two most-used seats do not wear ahead of the rest, and plump the backs after use rather than once a month — fibre-filled backs look tired far more quickly than they wear out.
Delivery
Delivered free to mainland England and Wales. We do not currently deliver to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland or the offshore islands. Large upholstery is delivered in sections wherever the design allows, which makes a narrow hallway or a turn on the stairs far less of a problem.

Do the scatter cushions come with it? The scatter back is part of the design rather than an accessory — check the listing for the exact count included.
Can I buy just the three seater? Contact us and we will price the pieces individually where the supplier allows it.
How firm is the seat? Medium, with a scatter back that gives a softer, more relaxed sit than a fixed-back sofa.
Will the scatter back need constant plumping? A shake and a plump after use keeps it looking right. That is the trade for the softer sit.
Is it delivered assembled? The feet attach on site; the sofas themselves arrive built.
