Brodie Sideboard
Solid mango wood with a pale, lightly limed finish and thick, softly squared edges. Mango is fast-growing, which is why it is affordable in solid form and why the grain is open and varied — expect colour to move across a single piece.
What a 90cm sideboard is for
Most sideboards are 150cm or more and assume a dining room. This one is 90 centimetres, which puts it in a different category altogether: it fits the wall of a small dining room, an alcove beside a chimney breast, or a hallway that needs storage rather than just a surface.
At 40cm deep it holds plates, table linen, board games or the drawer-contents that have nowhere else to live, without projecting into the room the way a full-depth unit does. At 80cm it is worktop height, so the top is genuinely usable rather than just decorative.

How much does it hold? At 90 by 40cm it takes dinner plates flat and most table linen folded. It is not a full-depth dining sideboard.
Does it come assembled? It arrives built with minimal fitting.
Can I put a television on it? At 80cm high a screen would sit above comfortable viewing height for most sofas. Better as storage with a lamp or pictures above.
Will it match the Brodie tables? Same finish and edge detail; timber tone varies naturally.
Is it heavy? Yes — solid wood with a carcass. Two people to move it.
