Description
The Quant Wooden Ottoman Bed combines a gas-lift storage base with an LED-lit headboard, in knotty Oak Artisan wood effect with black matt trim. Lift the mattress platform and the whole area under the bed becomes storage for duvets, suitcases and out-of-season clothes, which is often the difference between a tidy bedroom and a cluttered one.
Important: this is a European size bed
This frame is made to European mattress sizes, not UK ones. The difference is small on paper and decisive in practice: a UK mattress of the same name will not fit properly.
| Size on this page | Mattress you need | A UK mattress of that name is |
|---|---|---|
| EU King 160 x 200cm | 160 x 200cm | 150 x 200cm, 10cm narrower |
| Super King 180 x 200cm | 180 x 200cm | 180 x 200cm, the same |
If you already own a mattress, measure it before you order. If you need one, we sell European size mattresses and the matching option is shown on this page. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering; we would rather answer a question than process a return.
Design
The headboard is a low oak panel with a built-in LED strip that washes light across the wall behind the bed, so it doubles as a reading or mood light. The base sits on a recessed black plinth, which makes the bed look as if it floats slightly above the floor, and the thin black edges match the rest of the Quant range. A fabric pull strap at the foot end lifts the platform.
Storage
The slatted mattress platform rises on gas struts (pneumatic opening and closing), so it lifts smoothly and stays open while you reach in. Underneath is a full-size storage well with a central divider, which helps keep two people’s things separate. Slats support the mattress and let it breathe.
