Description
The Quant 2 Door Wardrobe is a compact, industrial-style wardrobe in Oak Artisan with a black frame. In just 95cm of width it gives one person a hanging rail and a full column of shelves, and it has built-in LED lighting along the top that washes down the oak front. It is part of Arte-N’s Quant range, so the bed, bedside tables, chest and cabinets all match.
Design
A black frame runs up both sides and across a raised base, like a steel shelving unit, while the doors are a knotty, golden oak effect. One door opens with a conventional hinge; the other uses a push-to-open catch, so the front has no handles to catch on and stays clean-lined. The LED strip sits under the top rail and lights the oak, which makes the wardrobe a soft light source in the evening as well as storage.
Storage inside
Inside is a split layout. One side has a hanging rail with a shelf above it for shirts, jackets and dresses. The other side is a column of shelves, five laminated shelves in total, for folded jumpers, T-shirts, jeans and boxes of accessories. Each shelf is rated to 5kg, so spread heavy items such as shoes or books across the lower shelves and the base.
Size and fit
It measures W95cm x H195cm x D50cm. The slim footprint suits a single room, a box room, a teenager’s room or a spare room, and the 50cm depth keeps the walkway clear. Allow about 50cm in front for the doors to open. It weighs about 34kg once built, is made from 16mm laminated board and the LED is mains powered, so place it within reach of a socket.
Looking after it
Wipe the oak and black surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them straight away; avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners. Keep within the 5kg shelf limit, and switch the LED off at the plug before cleaning near it.
