Description
The Madryt 2 Door Mirrored Sliding Wardrobe 120cm is a full-height bedroom wardrobe with 2 mirrored sliding doors, a double-hanging rail section and open shelving behind. It measures 120cm wide, 62cm deep and 200cm tall and comes in four finishes: Oak Artisan, White Matt, Black Matt and Oak Sonoma, all at the same price of £441.99. Sliding doors never swing into the room, so it works where a bed, chest or radiator sits close in front of the wardrobe wall.
What makes Madryt easy to recognise is the mirror. Both doors carry a tall mirror panel on their inner half with a flowing, wave-cut outer edge, so when the wardrobe is closed the two mirrors meet in the centre and form one curved mirrored panel framed by the wood or matt finish. It gives you a full-length dressing mirror without hanging one on the wall, it bounces light from the window back into the room, and the curve softens what would otherwise be a plain rectangular block of furniture. Silver bar handles run down the outer edges of the doors.
Who it suits
The extra 20cm over the 100cm model all goes into the hanging bay, which makes this a sensible single-person wardrobe for a small double or a single bedroom. It suits a room where a 150cm piece would crowd the door or the window but a 100cm one would leave you short of rail space.
Choosing a finish
Oak Artisan is a warm, honey-toned oak effect with visible knots and grain, the closest of the four to a rustic or Scandinavian scheme. Oak Sonoma is a paler, sandier oak with a straighter grain that sits well with grey or cream walls and white bedding. White Matt is the brightest choice and lets the wardrobe recede against a pale wall, which helps in a small room. Black Matt turns the wardrobe into a feature, and the mirror stands out strongly against it. Every finish has its own room-set photo and its own open-door photos in the gallery, so you can judge the real colour rather than a swatch.
Storage inside
Inside there is a hanging bay about 67.5cm wide beside a column of open shelves about 47.5cm wide. The hanging bay is double-hung: an upper rail and a lower rail, each with about 93.5cm of drop, separated by a shelf. That doubles the rail length for shirts, blouses, jackets, folded trousers and skirts. It does not give a single full-length drop, so long dresses and full-length coats are better kept elsewhere. The shelf compartments are about 37.5cm high, which suits stacks of jumpers, t-shirts, towels or shoe boxes, and the usable depth is about 48cm. Arte-N list five shelves and 2 hanging rails for this width.
Each door covers about 60cm of the front: slide one across for the shelf column and part of the hanging bay, the other for the rest of the rails. Some photos in the gallery show two small drawers fitted into the shelf column. Those drawers are an optional extra sold separately by Arte-N and are not included with this wardrobe; the photos without drawers show exactly what you receive.
Measuring up
Allow a clear wall of at least 122cm so the frame does not rub the skirting or a side wall, and check that nothing on the wall (sockets, a radiator, a window board) sits within the 62cm depth. Because the doors slide on tracks you need no swing space in front, only room to stand. The wardrobe is built lying on its back and then lifted upright; its diagonal is about 210cm, so the ceiling must be at least 2.1m. Arte-N give the weight as about 109kg. Plan for two adults to assemble it, and fix it to the wall with fixings that suit your wall type.
Build and care
The carcass and doors are 16mm laminated board with PVC-finished edges, which protects the board from knocks and moisture along the edges. The mirrors are fitted to the door panels at the factory. Clean the laminate with a slightly damp, soft cloth and dry it straight away; clean the mirrors with ordinary glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth rather than the door. Keep the floor track free of fluff and hair so the doors keep running smoothly, and check the door adjusters a few weeks after assembly once the wardrobe has settled.
Other sizes
The Madryt range comes in six widths with the same 200cm height, 62cm depth, finishes and wave mirror: 100cm, 150cm, 180cm, 200cm and 250cm. If you would rather have built-in drawers in the base, the Winn II Mirrored Sliding Wardrobe 170cm with 3 Drawers is another Arte-N sliding wardrobe with a mirror.

Frequently asked questions
How big is the Madryt 120cm?
It is 120cm wide, 62cm deep and 200cm high. You need no door-swing space in front, but the ceiling must be at least 2.1m so it can be stood up after assembly.
Is it fully mirrored?
No. Both doors have a tall wave-cut mirror panel on their inner half, framed by the wood or matt finish.
Can I hang long dresses or coats in it?
The rails are double-hung, with about 93.5cm of drop on each rail. That suits shirts, jackets, skirts and folded trousers; full-length dresses and long coats need a single full-height rail.
Are the drawers in the photos included?
No. The two small drawers shown in some photos are an optional extra sold separately by Arte-N. The wardrobe comes with shelves and two hanging rails.
How much is it and how long is delivery?
All four finishes are £441.99. Arte-N currently quote 4 to 6 weeks, and delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey.
