Apley Chic TV Bed

Description

The Apley Chic TV Bed hides a flat-screen television in the footboard. It rises into view when you want to watch and lowers out of sight when you are done, so the bedroom does not have to be built around a wall bracket or a TV stand.

Chic is the TV bed to choose if you also want storage. It sits on a platform-top base with two or four drawers, and the tall headboard is upholstered in wide horizontal panels that give the bed presence in a larger room.

Sizes, outside dimensions and prices

Plan for the outside length, not the mattress length. The footboard housing adds depth, so a double Chic is 228cm long against a 190cm mattress. Leave room to walk past the foot of the bed with the TV raised.

Size guide: UK and EU king size

This bed takes a standard UK mattress in each size. If you are reusing a mattress bought abroad or from a European brand, measure it first: a 160cm-wide EU king is 10cm too wide for a UK king frame.

Choosing a fabric

The ten fabrics run from soft neutrals (Ash, Linen, Grey and Duck Egg) to deeper shades (Deep Blue, Royal, Teal, Mustard and Granite) and a dusky Powder pink. The bed is upholstered for your order, so the swatch photo in the gallery is the best guide to colour.

Delivery

Delivery is free to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly. This bed is made to order in Britain by Sweet Dreams, so please allow around two to three weeks from order to delivery. Our delivery partner contacts you directly to agree a day. Please check that the route to the bedroom is clear and measure doorways, hallways and stairs before ordering.

What size TV fits the Chic TV bed?

A flat-screen TV up to 32 inches with a maximum depth of 8cm. The TV is not included.

Does the Chic TV bed have storage?

Yes. Choose 2 or 4 drawers in the platform-top base. The 4-drawer version costs £57 more in every size.

How long is the Chic TV bed?

228cm for a double and 238cm for a king or super king, because the footboard houses the TV. Widths are 139cm, 154cm and 184cm.

Will a European king mattress fit?

No. The Chic king takes a UK king mattress, 150 x 200cm. An EU king is 160 x 200cm and is too wide.

What is the difference between Chic, Classic and Sparkle?

All three share the same platform-top base with 2 or 4 drawers and the same TV footboard. They differ in headboard styling; Chic has wide horizontal panels.

Can I return the bed if I change my mind?
