Description

The Quant 2 Door Display Cabinet is a tall, partially glazed cabinet built to show things off rather than hide them away. Behind the glazed section sits a glass shelf lit by built-in LED lighting; behind the solid door, closed storage for everything that does not want to be on display. It is the piece for watches, glassware, a collection, or the good crockery that only comes out at Christmas.

What you actually get

At 110cm wide, 140cm high and 41cm deep, this is a substantial cabinet but not a full-height one — it sits low enough to put a lamp or a picture above it, which a 195cm tall cabinet does not allow. Two doors: one solid MDF, one fitted with a push-to-open mechanism so there is no handle breaking the line of the front.

Inside there are six shelves in total — five in laminated board and one in glass for the display section. Each shelf takes up to 5kg, so this is a cabinet for display pieces and glassware rather than for stacked books or heavy crockery.

The LED lighting

Powered LED lighting is included and fitted, not an optional extra. It lights the glazed section from within, which is the difference between a cabinet with things in it and an actual display. It is also what makes the piece work in the evening, when most people are actually in the room looking at it.

Finish

Oak Artisan front with a black decor frame — a warm mid-oak against black, which is a combination that reads as contemporary without being cold. Matching furniture is available across the Quant range, so the cabinet can be bought on its own now and built around later.

Delivery

Direct home delivery, estimated 3 to 5 weeks from order. England and Wales
mainland only — we do not deliver to the Scottish Highlands, the Scottish Islands, Northern
Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.

At 70kg this is a two-person lift. Please measure your doorways, hallway and any turn on the
stairs before ordering, and have someone available to help on the day.

Questions we are asked most

Is this a shoe cabinet?

No, and if you have seen it described as one elsewhere that is wrong — including on our
own site until we corrected it. It is a display cabinet with a glazed section, a glass shelf and
LED lighting. The 5kg shelf limit would not suit a family’s shoes.

Is the LED lighting included or extra?

Included and already fitted. You do not need to buy a separate light strip.

How much weight will the shelves take?

5kg each. That is right for glassware, ornaments, framed photographs and collectibles, and
wrong for stacked books or a full dinner service.

Does it come assembled?

No. It arrives flat packed in 16mm laminated board with fittings and instructions. Allow a
couple of hours and a second pair of hands for standing it up.

Can I match other furniture to it?

Yes. The Quant range runs to wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside tables, a TV cabinet and
more, all in the same Oak Artisan and black finish. Ask us for anything you cannot see listed.
