The Jay-Be Foam-Free Sprung Toddler Mattress is the standard UK toddler bed size, 70 × 140 cm, and 10 cm deep. It is made for children aged two and over moving from a cot into their first bed, and it is the lowest-priced Jay-Be mattress we sell.

Inside is a medium-firm spring unit that spreads a toddler’s weight evenly. A high-density insulator sits on top so the springs cannot be felt, and above that are breathable rebound e-Fibre™ comfort layers. There is no foam. Air moves through the fibres, so the mattress helps a warm child stay cool and dry and does not trap moisture. The comfort layers run edge to edge, so the whole surface is usable.

Unpacking and care

Open the pack in the child’s room, cut the wrap carefully and let the mattress unroll on the bed base. Give it 24 to 48 hours to recover fully before use. Turn it head to toe regularly to keep it even, and add a waterproof, breathable protector during potty training.

Delivery

Free delivery to mainland England and mainland Wales, including Anglesey, by courier to your door. The mattress arrives vacuum-packed and rolled, so it is light enough to carry upstairs and fits through any doorway. We do not deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight or the Isles of Scilly.

Turned regularly and used with a protector, it should last until your child outgrows the toddler bed, typically around age five.
