Description
The Winn II Sliding Door Wardrobe 250cm is a wall of storage for a main bedroom: two wide sliding doors over two 122cm bays, with long hanging on one side and short hanging, three drawers and an open shelving bay on the other. At 249cm wide and 200.5cm high it suits a couple who want all their clothes in one piece, in White or Oak Artisan with Concrete Grey.
Design
The front has the Winn II signature: the left door is cut away at the bottom so the three drawers sit in the front of the wardrobe and stay in view. Each door is close to 1.25m wide, so the front looks calm and architectural rather than busy. On the two-tone version the drawers and right-hand door are concrete grey against a knotty oak-effect left door, framed in a grey carcass; the white version is white throughout with metal handles.
Finishes
White is a clean matt white all over. It brightens a small or north-facing room and sits easily with any bed. Oak Artisan / Concrete Grey pairs a knotty, golden Artisan oak effect with a dark concrete-grey door and drawer fronts, trimmed in black. It is the most striking option and suits an industrial or loft-style bedroom. Every finish is a laminated chipboard, so it resists scuffs and wipes clean.
Storage inside
Arte-N’s drawing shows two bays of about 122cm. The right bay has a shelf near the top with about 36cm above it, then a rail with about 155cm of hanging height, a full 122cm wide, for long coats, dresses and suits. The left bay has a rail at the top with about 110cm of hanging height, which takes shirts, jackets and folded trousers, above a full-width shelf. Under that shelf are the three drawers, each about 54cm wide, and an open bay about 63cm wide with a shelf at mid-height for shoes, jumpers or a storage box. The drawers run on ball-bearing runners and take 5kg each, and each rail is rated at 25kg. Inside depth is about 56cm.
Size and fit
It measures 249cm wide, 61cm deep and 200.5cm high. It is built lying down and raised into place, and the side diagonal is about 210cm, so allow a ceiling of at least 2.15m. Because the doors slide, you only need standing room in front, which makes it a good choice opposite the end of a bed. It stands on plastic feet and weighs about 147kg once built.
Looking after it
Clean the laminated surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them. Keep the floor track clear of dust so the wide doors glide easily, and spread heavy coats along the rail rather than bunching them at one end.
