Description
The Stockholm Hinged Door Wardrobe with Drawers 230cm is a four-door wardrobe in white with Oak Gold Craft that gives a couple hanging space, shelving and drawers in one 230cm run. Behind the doors are two hanging rails, seven shelves and two push-to-open drawers, plus a mirror on the inside of a door so it stays out of sight when the wardrobe is closed. It is part of the Stockholm bedroom range, alongside the matching floating ottoman bed and 160cm chest of drawers.
Design
The front is split into two tones: two warm Oak Gold Craft doors in the centre, framed by plain white doors at each side, on a slim white plinth. The drawers sit low on the right behind the door line and open with a push, so the front has no handles to catch on, apart from a small pull on the oak doors. It is a clean, Scandinavian look that suits a light, modern bedroom.
Storage inside
Arte-N’s open-door photograph shows the layout. The central bay has a hanging rail under a shelf for shirts, jackets and dresses. The outer bays carry the shelving: stacks of adjustable-height compartments for folded clothes, jumpers and bags, with the two drawers at the bottom of the right-hand side for underwear, socks and accessories. Arte-N list two hanging rails and seven shelves in total. The 52cm depth takes standard hangers.
Size and fit
It measures 230cm wide, 202cm high and 52cm deep. Allow room in front for the hinged doors to swing open, about 50cm for the outer doors. It is assembled lying down and raised, and the side diagonal is about 209cm, so you need a ceiling of at least 2.15m. It weighs about 166kg once built, so plan on two adults for assembly, and fix it to the wall.
Materials and care
The carcass and doors are 16mm laminated board with ABS edging, which protects the edges from knocks and moisture. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry straight away; avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners. Clean the inside mirror with glass cleaner sprayed onto a cloth.
