The London 3 Door Mirrored Sliding Wardrobe 250cm is the statement piece of the London range: two vertical-slatted outer doors frame a full-height mirrored centre door, all set in an Oak Wotan wood-effect cabinet 250cm wide, 60cm deep and 215cm tall. Behind the doors are open shelves on both sides, a central hanging rail and two drawers.

Design

The symmetrical front, slats either side and mirror in the middle, gives a big wardrobe the look of fitted joinery rather than a flat wall of doors. Slats add depth and shadow, and the mirror keeps a wide piece from making the room feel enclosed. Oak Wotan is a deep brown-gold oak effect with visible grain, at home in industrial, loft and modern rustic interiors.

Finishes

Oak Wotan / Black Matt has dark slatted doors and black drawer fronts against the oak frame, a bold contrast for darker or industrial rooms. Oak Wotan / White Matt has white slats and white drawer fronts, lighter and more Scandinavian in feel. The mirror door and the interior layout are the same in both.

Storage inside

The wardrobe has three sections. The left and right sections, each about 85cm wide, are open shelving from top to bottom, with a top compartment about 36cm high and further shelves spaced at around 40cm to 43cm: ideal for folded clothes, jeans, knitwear, towels, bags and shoe boxes, and enough for two people to keep their own side. The centre section, about 73cm wide, has a top shelf, then a hanging rail with roughly 108cm of drop for shirts, jackets and folded-over trousers, and below it two drawers with an internal space of about 68cm by 43cm and 10cm deep for underwear, socks and accessories. There is no full-length rail, so long dresses and coats need hanging elsewhere.

Size and fit

It measures W250cm x D60cm x H215cm. At 215cm it is tall, so check the height under beams, coving or a sloping ceiling. The cabinet is built lying down and then stood up, so you need a ceiling of at least 2.3m in the room where it is assembled. It weighs about 238kg once built and arrives in several heavy boxes; two adults are needed for the build.

Looking after it

Dust the slats with a soft brush or microfibre cloth, clean the mirror with glass cleaner sprayed onto a cloth, wipe the drawer fronts with a damp cloth and dry them, and keep the bottom track clear.
