The Genua 2 Door Hinged Wardrobe packs a proper double wardrobe into 105cm of wall. It is tall rather than wide, at 215cm, so it gives you more storage than a standard 180cm two-door model without taking up any more floor. Two flush doors, long vertical bar handles and a wrap-around frame give it a smart, fitted look in four finishes: White Matt, Sand Beige, Bottle Green with a black frame or Oak Wild.

Design

The handles meet in the middle and run most of the way down the doors, which gives the front a strong vertical line and makes a small bedroom feel taller. There is no other decoration, so the finish sets the tone. It works in a single bedroom, a guest room, a teenager’s room or an alcove next to a chimney breast, and two side by side make a neat alternative to one large wardrobe if your stairs or landing are tight.

Four finishes

White Matt is the bright, easy choice for a small room. Sand Beige is a warm putty neutral that looks good with oak floors and cream bedding. Bottle Green sets deep green doors in a black matt frame for a bold feature piece. Oak Wild is a knotty mid-tone wood effect for a natural, Scandi feel. All are low-sheen and hide fingerprints better than gloss.

Storage inside

Both doors open onto one 100cm-wide section. A hanging rail runs the full width with about 122cm of hanging height, enough for shirts, jackets and most dresses, and there are two shelves above it, roughly 35cm apart, for jumpers, bags and spare bedding. Shoes sit on the base beneath the hanging clothes.

Size and fit

It measures 105cm wide, 64.5cm deep and 215cm high. Leave about 50cm of clear floor in front so the doors can open fully, and measure the wall including skirting boards and radiators. It is built on its back and stood up, so you need a ceiling of roughly 2.3m (the side panel diagonal is about 225cm); with a lower ceiling, ask us first. It weighs about 98kg once built and is best assembled by two people.

Looking after it

The laminated board finish wipes clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth; dry it straight away and avoid abrasive pads, bleach or solvent cleaners, which can mark a matt surface. Do not overload a single shelf or the rail with very heavy items, spread the weight across the interior instead, and check the hinge screws a few weeks after assembly in case a door needs a small adjustment to sit level with its neighbour.

The Genua 2 Door Wardrobe is made to order by Arte-N and the current lead time is 4 to 6 weeks; we confirm a delivery date by email or phone before it leaves the warehouse. It arrives flat-packed in several boxes for self-assembly, so check the boxes will fit through your front door and up the stairs, and allow two adults for the build. It weighs about 98kg once assembled and must be fixed to the wall with the anti-tip fitting supplied.
