Description

The Bali 240cm Wardrobe is the largest model in the Bali range and is built to clear the clutter from a whole bedroom. Four hinged doors span 240cm: two plain outer doors and a wide centre section with two mirrored doors above three wide drawers. Each drawer has two handles, so it opens straight even when full. For a couple who share one wall of storage, it is about as much as a freestanding wardrobe can hold.

Design

The centre section is wider than on the 3 and 4 door Bali models, which gives larger mirrors and roomier drawers. Thin groove lines run across the outer doors at staggered heights as a decorative strip detail. Handles are matt black bar handles, a detail that sharpens the white and oak finishes and disappears into the graphite one. The front is symmetrical, so it sits well on a wall centred on the bed.

Four finishes

White Matt with black handles is crisp and modern and keeps a big piece light. Graphite Matt is a deep charcoal for a dramatic, tailored bedroom. Oak Sonoma is a light oak effect with dark groove lines and black handles, a warm Scandi combination. Oak Wellington is a grey-washed, knotty oak effect that brings rustic character to a large wall.

Storage inside

Behind the mirrored doors is a central hanging section with a long rail, sitting above the three drawers. Behind each outer door is a full-height column of shelves, roughly five per side, for folded clothes, bedding, shoe boxes and baskets. The three external drawers are wide enough for jumpers as well as smaller items. Split it his-and-hers, one shelf column each with a shared rail, or use one side for bedding and towels.

Size and fit

It is 240cm wide, 57.5cm deep and 200cm high. Measure the full width of the wall carefully, including skirting boards and any radiator, and allow around 50 to 60cm of clear floor in front for the doors. The diagonal is about 208cm, so a ceiling of at least 2.1m lets you stand it up once assembled. At about 190kg it is a substantial build for two adults and must be fixed to the wall.

Looking after it

The laminated board finish is durable and easy to clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth, dried off straight away. Avoid scouring pads, bleach and solvents. Apply glass cleaner to a cloth rather than spraying the mirrors directly. Spread weight evenly across the shelves and check the hinge adjustment after the first few weeks so the four doors stay level.
